Урок по лексике

Тема урока: Shopping time

Аудитория:7 класс общеобразовательной школы

Уровень: Pre-intermediate

Оборудование: УМК «Spotlight 7», Virginia Evans
Цель: развитие коммуникативной компетенции учащихся, позволяющей участвовать в социально-бытовой и учебно-профессиональной сферах.

Задачи:

1. Практика чтения новых слов

2. Употребление новой лексики по данной тематике

3. Практика чтения текстов

4. Тренировка речевого образца: How often do you go shopping?

5. Практика понимания новой лексики на основе речи и слуха

6. Развитие монологических и диалогических навыков

7. Развитие памяти и логического мышления

Ход урока (45 минут)

Этап I. Начало урока. Организационный момент. Приветствие (2-3 мин.).

Teacher (T): Good morning, pupils!
Pupils (Ps): Good morning, teacher!
T: How are you?

Ps: We are great! And you?
T: I am great too, thank you! Take your seats, please! Is anybody absent today?
Ps: Nobody is absent!

Этап II. Фонетическая зарядка ( 7 минут)

Our topic for today is «Shopping time». We will talk about shopping choices, meal, clothes. At the lesson we will discuss the text «Choices». So we will start by reading new words. Let`s start!

Сначала учащиеся все вместе читают слова, потом отдельно. Затем идет проверка лексики по данной тематике:

Учащиеся должны найти слова, выделить их цветными маркерами, затем дать перевод слов.

В данном задании также проверяются знания написания слов.

Этап III. Работа с текстом «Choices». (15 мин)

Choices. You make them. People shop a lot. We buy clothes, food, mobile phones, and millions of other things – for what seems like a million of reasons. Obviously, we buy things because we need them. But sometimes it`s just to fit in. Sometimes we buy staff and we do not know why. Everything we buy affects the environment, but some choices are better than others, we have the power to make those choices. We can: buy smart – take some time before you buy something – maybe you do not really need it. Send a virtual e-card instead of a paper birthday card. Buy things that will last a long time, such as rechargeable batteries. Share with friends – maybe you and your friends like the same video games. Why don`t you share or swap your games instead of buying one each? Buy recycled – fewer natural resources are used to produce recycled items, which helps the environment. Read the labels and choose recycled.

In 2002, 90 % teenagers reported buying a product for a good cause. What have you been doing since?

T: So now, you will answer my questions. Be careful, please!
What do people usually buy?

P1: People usually buy such things like food, clothes, mobile phones and other gadgets.

T: Good! And what is the main reason?
P2: According to text, and I also agree with it, the main reason of buying different things is that we need them.
T: How do you understand the word «staff» in the text?

P3: I thing that author used this word to describe things that we don`t need to but buy.

T: Great! Next question – does the text advise buying rechargeable or chargeable batteries, and why?

P4: The text advises buying rechargeable batteries because only them can last long.

T: What does the word «swap» in the text mean?

P5: As I understood this word is used in place of «exchange».

T: And you are absolutely right! And the last question: according to our text how many per cent of teenagers since 2002 reporting buying a product for a good cause?

P6: As I am not mistaken 90 %.

T: Right you are!

Well, let`s imagine the situation: two of our pupils made a gift to each other. And now Tanya and Katya will present us this situation. Girls, start please!

P1:Here is my gift for you, I really hope you will like it.

P2:Oh, fantastic! I have always dreamed about such cap, it goes with my tracksuit. Thank you so much!
P1:That’s nice you like it. Is it your size?

P2:Oh, no! It is too big for my little head.

P1:That’s a pity. But the shop assistant said you can exchange it.

P2:Thanks!

P1:Don’t mind!

P2:And this I prepared for you.

P1:How sweet of you! But what`s that?

P2:Open it and see!

P1:Wow, these are lovely gloves!

P2:Try it and see if it fits.

P1:It`s just my size. What do you think?

P2: It matches the color of your eyes. It suits you.

P1:Thank you.

Затем участники разбиваются на пары и в процессе диалога таким же образом рассказывают что и кому они подарили.

Два участника рассказывают друг о друге:

P1: Well, my classmate told me about New Years presents, and he said that once he got the best present in his live and it was a modern and advanced laptop. After that inspiring moment he got the second best present! And this time his parents gave him a tour around Europe so he could travel and broaden his mind.

P2:Firstly, I would like to thank my classmate for such amazing discussion. Well, she told me about one life situation. When she was only 10 years old, her mother gave her a bar of chocolate for her birthday, and she thought that it was only the one thing she received. Her disappointment was huge! But a bit late she was surprised because her room was full of her friends, sweets and flowers. So then she was begging a pardon because of her hysterical behavior.

T: Thank you, you made a good job.
