Комментарий 1

Это дополнение углубляет наше понимание того места словаря Матузовой, где говорится о половцах = куманах.

Олжас Сулейменов в своей известной книге "Аз и Я" отмечает, что кипчаки ( = каптаки) -- это тюркский род (казахи или казаки?), название которого Сулейменов производит от родового символа ики-пчак, т.е. два ножа. Названия родов часто связаны с родовым символом. У кипчаков это две параллельные черты (палочки). Сулейменов отмечает также связь между куманами ( = команами) и казаками. Кроме того, очевидна связь между команами и комони = кони в рукописи "Слова о Полку Игореве". Возможно, это означало конники или коневоды.

Комментарий 2

О названии Саксония. Не исключено, что Saxons = Isaacsons = Isaac + sons, т.е. сыны Исаака. После обнаруженного нами параллелизма такая гипотеза не кажется невероятной.
