Moscow State University of Graphic Arts is the leading university training specialists for the publishing and printing industries. With 75 years behind it, MSUPA currently instructs the whole scope of graphic arts and publishing curricula, including publishing and editing, book distribution, advertising, IT, graphic design, graphic arts technology, print media, marketing, management and others, 16 specialities in total.
According to the official rating of the Ministry of Education in 2004 MSUPA holds 35th place among over 1000 higher institutions of Russia.
MSUPA has 6 Schools (School of Publishing and Jornalism, School ofAdvertising, School of Economics and Management, School of Printing Technology and Equipment, School of Graphic Arts, School of Digital Communications System), 31 chairs, a Research Centre, a Post-graduate Division, 3 Centres of post-graduate education, a Pre-admission Centre, a Technical Training Centres, and e-learning facilities.
The School of Publishing and Jornalism includes 7 chairs, which develop and conduct courses (modules) of the academic programmes. These chairs are as follows:

The University can trace its history back as far as 1865 with the foundation of the Oxford School of Art, which over the centuries merged and grew to become today's university. It was in 1992 that the then Oxford Polytechnic became Oxford Brookes University, naming itself after John Henry Brookes, first Principal of the Schools of Technology, Art and Commerce.
The Oxford International Centre for Publishing Studies is one of the leading centres for publishing education in the world, with a reputation for innovation and excellence in teaching and research. The Centre offers a range of postgraduate and undergraduate awards in book, magazine and electronic publishing, and also carries out professional development programmes and consultancy.
The Centre’s faculty all have considerable experience of the publishing industry, working in trade, educational, and academic publishing. Publishing is a global business and we maintain an extensive network of contacts in the international publishing industry, including our alumni, who are working in management positions throughout the world.
