Фонетичний аспект. IV тип читання голосних
У четвертому типі читання голосні подвоюються або потроюються. Голосна читається по четвертому типу читання, якщо після неї стоять літери RE. Формула четвертого типу читання виглядає так:
ГОЛОСНА + R + E = ПОДВОЄННЯ АБО ПОТРОЄННЯ ГОЛОСНОЇ

2. Граматичний аспект. Вживання артикля з назвами речовин та власними назвами
Назви речовин
Іменники, що означають речовини, вживаються, як правило, без артикля.
Water is colourless.
Якщо ж ідеться про певну, конкретну частину якоїсь речовини, іменник вживається з означеним артиклем. The water will boil soon.
Якщо мається на увазі сорт речовини, іменник може стояти як з означеним, так і з неозначеним артиклем. This is a good wine.
Власні назви
Прізвища та імена людей, а також клички тварин і птахів вживаються без артикля. Якщо перед власною назвою стоїть прикметник, вживається означений артикль: the frightened Mary, the timid John, the hungry Tom.
Означений артикль вживається, коли прізвище стоїть у множині і позначає сім'ю в цілому — всіх членів сім'ї. We will invite the Pavlenkos.
Географічні назви
Назви континентів, країн, міст і сіл вживаються, як правило, без артикля: Europe, Poland, Paris, Kaniv. Як виняток, назви деяких країн та міцевостей вживаються з означеним артиклем: the Netherlands, the Philippines, the Caucasus, the Crimea, the Congo, the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Nothern Ireland.
Назви океанів, морів, заток, проток, каналів і річок вживаються з означеним артиклем: the Atlantic Ocean, the Black Sea, the Gulf of Mexico. Назви озер також вживаються з означеним артиклем, якщо перед власною назвою не стоїть слово lake: the Baikal, але Lake Ontario.
Назви груп островів вживаються з означеним артиклем, а назви окремих островів — без артикля: the British Isles, Cuba.
Назви гірських хребтів вживаються з означеним артиклем, назви окремих гір, гірських вершин — без артикля: the Carpathians, the Alps, Elbrus.
Назви вулицьб площ і парків вживаються без артикля: Lenin Street, Independence Square.
