Volvo Construction Equipment is a subsidiary of Volvo Group worldwide.

Volvo customers are active in more than 180 countries worldwide, mainly in Europe, Asia and North America. Group sales of products and services are conducted through wholly owned and independent dealers. The global service network handles customer demand for spare parts and other services. Within Volvo Construction Equipment, more than 150 different models of skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, excavators, forestry carriers, demolition equipment, pipe layers, articulated haulers, motor graders, milling equipment, pavers, compactors and specialty paving equipment are produced (2007).

Production plants are located in Sweden, Germany, France, the U.S, Canada, Brazil, China and Korea.

CNH Global N.V. (short for Case-New Holland; NYSE: CNH) is the second largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment and the third largest maker of construction equipment in the world. Incorporated in Amsterdam, Netherlands and headquartered in the USA, it is 90% owned by Italy's Fiat Group.

CNH has 39 manufacturing facilities in 16 countries, including two each in China and India, one in Uzbekistan, and 12 in the United States. It also has 26 research and development (R&D) centers in 12 countries.

CNH Global's main competitor in the agriculture market is Deere & Company, while it is behind CAT (#1) and Komatsu (#2) in the construction arena.

Farm implements account for around 70% of sales. The company makes a wide range of construction machinery including: articulated trucks, backhoe loaders, crawler loaders, directional drills, dozers, excavators - wheeled and crawler, forklifts, graders, skid steer loaders (uniloader), telescopic handlers, and wheel loaders.

CNH sells its products through 12,000 dealers and distributors in 160 countries. Of total net revenues, agricultural equipment sales represented 60 percent, construction equipment about 33 percent and financial services about 7 percent. It also receives a portion of its revenue from its CNH Capital division, which provides capital lending to equipment buyers in Canada and the United States.
