According to the Constitution, all sitizents of Belarus have the right to education and equal opportunities to continue studies. Today, the system of higher education in Belarus includes: 38 state higher educational institutions and also non-stateInstitutes of higher education, wheretuition is not free of charge.
The Belarusian institute of lawis one of the oldest privateinstitutions of higher education in Belarus. It was established in 1990 and in 2015 it celebrated its 25th anniversary.
For over 25 years more than 17.000 students have been taught at Minsk school and its
2 branches in Grodno and Mogilev.The Institute has3 faculties:
· Law faculty, which prepares future lawyers and political scientists;
· International Law and Legal Psychology faculty, which trains psychologists and international lawyers with knowledge of 2 foreign languages; and
· Economics and Law faculty, where economists, managers and accountants are taught.
There are full-timeanddistance forms of tuition.
The teaching staffof the Institute is represented by experienced teachers and lecturers, who use advanced methods and up-to-date technologies in training future specialists. Doctors of Sciences (21) and Candidates of Sciences (150) work at the Institute.
There are 14 departments in the Institute. The Foreign Languages Department provides teaching in such languages as English, German, French, Polish and Latin.
The Institute has a developed technical basis at the students’ disposal: computer classes with modern computers and audio-visual equipment and the library with 9.000 volumes.
The Belarusian Institute of Law is also a Scientific Research Center. It has Postgraduate Courses. International Scientific Conferences of teachers and students take place every year.
After graduating from the Institute future specialists canfind a job at judicial offices, government and public organizations.
