Male-female dominated occupations
My topic is entitled: “Male-female dominated occupations”. At this point I’d like to give you a short overview at my presentation:
· First I’m going to speak about different professions occupied by women and men.
· Then I’ll address the issue of reasons of it.
· I’ll conclude by looking at my own vision of this problem.
Nowadays all people are equal in their rights regardless of gender. It became possible due to feminism movement. After longstanding fight for their right, women reached equal rights with men. Nevertheless there is some discrimination in matters related with professions. Some occupations are considered to be exclusively male. There are such professions like fireman, lifeguard, soldier, heaver and some other. From the other hand there is a list of occupations which consider being rather female than male: teacher, kindergartner, nurse. For sure there are objective reasons of this dividing. Tradition male occupations demand much more strength, courage, and resolve which can be provided only by men. This is objective because of physiological matters: no doubt that man is stronger and more fearless than women. Tradition female professions demand more calm, equability and assiduity - personality traits which associated with women.
Along with this there is a strong prejudice that women can’t manage with politics, economy, ruling of big companies and so and so forth. This stereotype is caused by longstanding period of discrimination of women. It is inadmissible and society must overcome this prejudice. From my point of view the essential role of this process must be played by international organization like United Nations, which should provide by it force equal abilities for women to government. There are a lot of examples which illustrate that women can govern and manage with it even better than men. That is more we shouldn’t be surprised when we see women in army, in police forces. The modern society should aspire to the same role of male and female but not forgetting about physiological differences.
That’s about all I wanted to say.
10. Should animals be protected? Your attitude to hunting as a sport. Animals and conservation: what step should be taken?
My topic is entitled “Animals protection”. At this point I’d like to give you a short overview of my presentation.
· First, I’m going to speak about problems, which are connected between people and nature.
· Then, I will address the issue of hunting as a sport and what people should do for nature.
· I’ll conclude by looking at my opinion (at some general phrases).
Nowadays, there are so many ways to protect people from harm and danger to make their lives better. But sometime actions that we take to improve our life are dangerous for our nature. For example people cut down trees to make furniture, kill animals to make clothes, energetics, cosmetics, also open different factories, which pollute our environment. It’s possible for us, but inadmissible for nature. Because of the pollution and irregular hunting many species of animals and birds are disappearing now. This fact destroys the balance of our nature.
To save our life we shouldn’t stay indifferent to these problems. We must take action to protect the nature. First off all, government should regulate hunting. Irregular hunting is the reason of disappearing of animals. We shouldn’t ban (forbid) hunting at all, because it is sometimes necessary. But we should ban hunting on endangered species of animals.
All in all, each person should realize their responsibilities for our actions. We must save wild animals and find the right way to take care of them, because we are the part of nature.
That is about all I wanted to say.
