4. Course Prerequisites:
Agronomy. Physics. Chemistry. Engineering Graphics. Strength of Materials. Theory of Machines. Kinematics and Dynamics of Machinery. Technical constructional materials. Bases of the device of wheel and crawler tractor.
5. Course Postrequisites:
Agriculture machinery – knows and understands the general principles, operation, types, necessary adjustments, repair of machines.
Short description of the course:
This course provides in-depth understanding of fundamentals of harvesting machinery, its development and applications. It contains types of machines and their main components. Their main adjustment, principles operation and maintenance.
General goal:
The general goal of this course is designed to give the students the basic knowledge of harvesting machinery, the study different types of harvesting machinery, an in-depth technical know-how and understand the principles of operation, the adjustment, maintenance, assembling and disassembling of parts.
Student learning objectives:
A Degree holder in Agricultural Engineering must know the agricultural operations, operation, control, maintenance and repairing idea of different harvesting machinery harvesting machinery used in Agricultural sector. For proper utilization of agricultural machinery, equipments in agricultural FARM, this course is designed with following contents:
• Understanding the operating theory of conventional & modern harvesting machinery, the different components and mechanisms of combine harvesters.
• Material of construction, working principles, adjustments, capacities & efficiencies of harvesting machinery.
• Cost of operation of different agricultural harvesting machinery.
As a result of studying this subject the student should know:
- appointment, principles of classification and marking of harvesting machinery;
- essence of technological processes fulfilled by harvesting machinery and the agrotechnical requirements shown to them;
- general device, work principle, working and auxiliary bodies, preparation for work, technological adjustments, quality control of operation of harvesting machinery harvesting machinery harvesting machinery;
- conditions of safe work with harvesting machinery.
As a result of studying the student should be able to:
- to choose the harvesting machinery for work of concrete technological processes and operations;
- to prepare harvesting machinery for work and to carry out technological adjustments;
- to reveal malfunctions in operation of harvesting machinery and eliminate them;
- to estimate quality of operation harvesting machinery.
