Imagine that you are given a chance to go on a one-day tour to Great

Britain or the USA.

1)I dream to go on a tour to London one

day. 2)I would like to know how people live

there, what customs they have and what

food they eat. 3)And of course I’d like to

see London famous sights like Buckingham

Palace — the London home of the royal

family, the Tower of London — one of the

oldest buildings in London, the Houses of

Parliament with its famous bell Big Ben

and many others. 4)But what place in London

I’d like to visit most of all is the London

Eye. 5)It is the world’s tallest observation

wheel. 6)While travelling, you can see

up to 40 kilometers away in all directions

from each cabin. 7)I believe it would be an

unforgettable experience!

8)A huge observational wheel like that

has been recently built in our country as well.

9)This is the Ferris Wheel in Kharkiv Amusement

Park. 10)This is the largest wheel in

Ukraine — at the highest point one can enjoy

a 55-metre-high panoramic view of the city.

11)The Wheel is especially beautiful at

night when it is illuminated with thousands

of lights making it visible from the distance.

Лондона. 2)Я б хотів побачити, як

живуть тамошні мешканці, дізнатися

про їхні звички та традиції харчування.

3)І, звичайно, я хотів би відвідати такі

визначні

місця Лондона, як Букінгем-

ський палац — лондонське помешкан-

ня королівської родини, Тауер — одну

з найстаріших будівель міста, будинки

парламенту та найвідоміший дзвін

у світі — Біг Бен, а також багато ін-

ших. 4)Проте місце, яке я мрію від-

відати найбільше,— це Лондонське

Око. 5)Воно являє собою найбільше

оглядове колесо в світі. 6)Під час по-

дорожі в кабінці ви можете побачити

краєвид на відстані до 40 км за усіма

напрямками. 7)Мені здається, це була

б незабутня подія!

8)Величезне колесо огляду нещо-

давно з’явилося також і в нашій країні.

9)Це «чортове колесо» у Харківському

парку розваг. 10)Воно є найбільшим

оглядовим колесом в Україні — з висо-

ти 55 метрів відкривається дивовижна

панорама Харкова. 11)Колесо особливо

гарне вночі, коли воно підсвічене тися-

чами вогників і його можна побачити

навіть здалека.
