I. Поставьте глаголы в нужную временную форму, соблюдая правило согласования времен. Переведите предложения.

1. My friend did not know that I already (to pass) the exam in philosophy. 2. He said that he (can not) do it without my help. 3. I decided that next week I (to bring) my friend all the books he needs. 4. I said he (may) keep the books as long as he (to like). 5. My friend did not know that he already (to receive) a good mark.

II. Замените прямую речь косвенной. Произведите все необходимые замены. Переведите предложения в косвенной речи на русский язык.

1. The teacher told us: “The students will not be allowed to use dictionaries at the examination”. 2. The students said: “Our teacher explains all the rules of grammar at the lesson”. 3. III. Раскройте скобки, поставьте глаголы в нужные формы страдательного залога, переведите предложения на русский язык.

IV. Переведите на английский язык:

1. Этот документ будет переведен к 10 часам завтра. 2. Книга «Робинзон Крузо» (Robinson Crusoe) была написана Даниелем Дефо (Daniel Defo) в XIX веке. 3. Эти картины написаны русским художником Айвазовским (Aivasovsky). 4. На английском языке говорят во многих странах. 5. Письмо только что прочитали. В нем содержится много интересных фактов.

V. Определите, какие из указанных глаголов являются объективными и какие необъективными, подчеркните объективные глаголы и дайте после каждого из них дополнение.

VI. Выберите правильные притяжательные местоимения. Переведите предложения на русский язык.

I. Образуйте сравнительную и превосходную степень от следующих прилагательных и наречий. Переведите их на русский язык.

II. Поставьте прилагательные или наречия в скобках в нужную форму. Переведите на русский язык.

1. Winter is (cold) season of the year. 2. Your English is (good) now. 3. Who knows your friend (well) than you? 4. Today the students worked (slowly) than usually. 5. V. Замените выделенные слова соответствующими словами – заместителями, где это возможно. Переведите их на русский язык.

1. This English book is too easy for me. Please give me a more difficult book. 2. “Take my pen”. – “Thank you, I have got a pen”. 3. Nick has no dictionary.
