Самостоятельная работа студента по изучению иностранного языка охватывает следующие аспекты: заучивание слов и уяснение действия правил самообразования, грамматических правил, понимание на слух сообщений, построение вопросов и ответов к текстам, осуществление переводов с иностранного языка на родной и с родного на иностранный, умение высказывать свою точку зрения по той или иной теме.
Самостоятельная работа студентов по данному курсу направлена на:
- подготовку и зашиту реферата;
- подготовку презентации по изученным темам;
- участие в ролевых играх;
- разработку проектов по проблемным ситуациям.

8. Материалы для промежуточного и итогового контроля и методические рекомендации по их выполнению
Промежуточный контроль осуществляется после изучения каждого раздела дисциплины и проводится в виде лексико-грамматического теста. На выполнение заданий теста отводится один академический час. Тестовые задания позволяют определить степень сформированности знаний, умений и навыков студентов на каждом этапе изучения дисциплины.
Для контроля усвоения грамматического материала и его закрепления включены материалы пройденных лексических и грамматических тем. Для прочного усвоения базовой терминологии, развитие и закрепление навыка перевода с русского (казахского) языка на английский предложены данные тесты.
