WRITING AN ESSAY AND DOING PROJECT WORKS 1 and 2
Before you start, read the short explanation of the word “essay” (эссе|, реферат)
An essay is a short piece of writing about a particular subject or on a particular topic as part of a course of study. It is usually in formal in style and is presented by a student in front of his/her group mates. An essay is often based on doing a small independent research on a topic presented in the form of a PROJECT WORK.
PROJECT WORK 1
Prepare a written report and give a talk on the topic “My University”. First, complete the sentences below with words and numbers. Consult your teachers or the University website about the necessary statistics. Then, draw a diagram (a chart) showing the organizational structure of the University. When presenting your material in class put up an enlargement of the diagram.

PROJECT WORK 2
Prepare a written report and give a talk on the topic “I am a student of the Faculty of Economics" making use of the organization chart (diagram) and predicates below. Special attention should be given to describing responsibilities of the teaching staff and students. CONSULT your teachers or the Faculty website to make your project work and your report complete and rewarding.
