PastSimple

Обозначаетдействие, которое произошло в прошлом, не связано с настоящим.

Образуетсяпри помощи второй формы глагола V2(если глагол правильный к V1+окончание ed,если глагол неправильный, то используем вторую колонку таблицы неправильных глаголов). Для образования вопросов и отрицаний употребляется вспомогательный глагол did. При didупотребляется V1.

Употребляется:

1) для выражения обычного действия в прошлом;

Например. WewenttoItalytwoyearsago. – Мы ездили в Италию два года назад;

2) для выражения прошедшего действия, совершившегося в истекшем отрезке времени. Времясовершениядействияможетбытьвыраженоспомощьютакихслов: yesterday, last week, an hour ago, during the holidays, the other day, etc.

Например. TheotherdayImetPeter. – На днях я встретил Питера;

3) для выражения последовательности прошедших действий в прошлом, то есть когда действия совершались одно за другим;

Например. Heleftthehotel, tookataxiandwenttothetheatre. – Он вышел из отеля, сел в такси и поехал в театр.

Маркеры Past Simple: ago, yesterday, on Monday, in 2007, last night / week / month / year, in January, at 5 p.m., when, How long ago … ?, etc.
