1. Фонетичний аспект. IІ тип читання голосних.
У другому типі читання голосні читаються коротко. Голосна читається по другому типу читання, якщо вона знаходиться в закритому складі. Схема другого типу читання виглядає так:
ГОЛОСНА + ПРИГОЛОСНА (+ приголосна)= КОРОТКЕ ЧИТАННЯ ГОЛОСНОЇ

4) з іменниками, що є єдиними в своєму роді, наприклад the sun, the moon, the earth, the sky, the East, the West, the North, the South.
5) в деяких сталих словосполученнях, наприклад to go to the theatre, to play the piano, the other day, to tell the truth.
