Тема 13.Перестановка компонентов.

Различие в порядке слов и его функциональных особенностях заставляет переводчика довольно часто обращаться к приему перестановки (компонентов), что связано, прежде всего, с различиями в восприятии актуального членения предложения (тема – рема). В английском предложении, как известно, рема может выражаться любыми способами, которые не требуют обязательного помещения значимой информации в конце фразы.

Например:

–He was breathing hard and sweating profusely. – Он тяжело дышал и сильно вспотел.

Без изменения порядка слов данное предложение будет иметь иное, отличное от исходного, коммуникативное значение: Он дышал (странно) тяжело и потел (необычно) обильно.

Другое важное различие, обуславливающее применение при переводе перестановки – это свободное место обстоятельства времени в русском языке и его рамочное расположение в английском – в начале или в конце предложения (что употребляется более часто). Употребленное в конце предложения обстоятельство времени автоматически воспринимается носителями русского языка как рема сообщения.

Например:

– When Christianity came to Russia in 988, the pagan high priests were banished and their idols destroyed. – Когда в 988 году Русь приняла христианство, языческие жрецы были изгнаны, а идолы повержены. (Рема – «христианство», а не год).

Источник информации, содержащейся в предложении, в английском языке, как правило, стоит после самого сообще­ния, тогда как в русском языке источник информации стоит в начале предложения.

Например:

– There will be a further development of trade between the two countries next year under a protocol signed yesterday in Moscow, TASS reports. – По сообщению ТАСС, на основании про­токола, подписанного вчера в Москве, в будущем году прои­зойдет дальнейшее расширение торговли между двумя стра­нами.
