Pregnancy

As with any investigational drug, the effect of XYZ11 on the unborn child is unknown and so you must take care to avoid becoming pregnant during this study. No studies have been done on XYZ11 in pregnant women or women who are nursing their infant. It is not known if XYZ11 is safe for pregnant women, unborn babies and infants who are nursing. It is also not known if XYZ11 has an effect on sperm or eggs. You cannot be in this study if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. In addition, all women who are able to become pregnant must be using two effective methods of birth control (one barrier and one non-barrier) while in this study. The study doctor will discuss these contraceptive methods with you.

Any female subject who is capable of becoming pregnant will have a pregnancy test before going into the study. If you become pregnant or suspect you are pregnant while participating in this study, you must notify the study doctor or study assistant as soon as possible. If you do become pregnant during the study, you will be removed from the study, and with your permission, your health and your baby's health will be monitored throughout your pregnancy.
