PRINCIPLE OF RADAR

The basic principle of radar is the scanning of the area by a beam of microwaves and detection of the waves that are reflected from the object to be located. The time taken for a pulse to travel to the object and back can be measured. In this way the distance to the object from the transmitter can be calculated, and its direction defined from the detection of the aerial direction.

This technique has extended to the use of computers, which accept data, apply logical processes to the data and supply the results of these processes as the information sought.

Сравнение времен Present Perfect и Past Simple

Часто разграничить употребление этих двух времен не представляется возможным, поскольку в некоторых случаях оба эти времени можно использовать для сообщения одной и той же информации.

Но разница все же есть. Чтобы образовать эти времена, достаточно воспользоваться достаточно простыми формулами:

Past Simple	Present Perfect
Правильные глаголы: Инфинитив глагола + окончание ‘-ed’	Правильные глаголы: Глагол ‘to have’ в соответствующей форме + инфинитив глагола с окончанием ‘-ed’

Исключения (при добавлении окончания ‘-ed’)
когда глагол оканчивается на ‘e’, добавлять нужно только ‘-d’: hate – hated после краткого ударного гласного конечный согласный удваивается: admit – admitted в британском английском конечный ‘l’ всегда удваивается: travel – travelled после согласного конечный ‘y’ становится ‘i’: worry — worried
